Kempsey has a wide range of sports and recreational facilities and strong sports teams that perform to high standards. They include;

Sports facilities include a sports pavilion, cricket and football pitches, a basketball post and hard standing and a 'buddy' shelter.

Kempsey Community Youth Centre (Chairman Treena Barnes), telephone 01905 820103, is home to the Rocking Horse Pre-School Group, Baby and Toddler Group ,The Youth Club, ages 9-11 years and 11 years upwards, Cub Scouts, Rainbow Guides, Guides, and Beaver Scouts in a modern, purpose-built centre.
