Parish Councillors and Volunteers Gear Up To Clear Waste

Published: 10 December 2025

Community spirit was on full display in Kempsey as the Parish Chairman Cllr Waller led a determined team, including our community builder Cathy Garner, Chair of Planning Rob Gardener,  Cllr Varley and local residents in tackling the growing problem of rubbish dumped at the agricultural hardstanding at Pixham Ferry Lane. In a striking image of dedication, the Chairman of the Parish Council donned full HAZMAT protective clothing to safely deal with hazardous waste. Their hard work and commitment turned what could have been a daunting task into a powerful example of civic pride, with volunteers giving up their time to restore safety and cleanliness to the space. The clearance not only removed dangerous materials but also highlighted the strength of collaboration between parish leadership and the wider public in protecting the environment and wellbeing of the community. On day two, the effort was further strengthened by the co‑ordinated support of the Lengthsman team and Malvern Hills District Council, making it an incredible team achievement that showcased what can be accomplished when our community pulls together.
